On February 28, 2025, the浦東新區(qū) low-aircraft transportation system kick-off ceremony was held at the Beijing Hilltop Park, organized by the浦東新區(qū) commission for building and urban management. On that day, test flights were conducted for intercity low-aircraft fast lines connecting蘇州 and南通 to浦東. Additionally, flights were conducted between the Beijing Hilltop Park and Xuhui濱江, Wu Song International Cruise Port, and other destinations. This marks the beginning of the浦東新區(qū) low-aircraft transportation system development blueprint.

Mr.龐曉明, a low-aircraft pilot with over 10 years of experience, explained that due to the impact of severe weather conditions like mist during takeoff from蘇州, the flight was delayed by an hour. He mentioned that over the past two years, there has been a noticeable increase in low-aircraft tourism demand. Currently, his aircraft primarily conducts business包機(jī) flights. Different aircraft types are available with varying prices, typically accommodating fewer than 5 passengers.

Mr.呂勇, chairman and chief executive officer of飛先天空科技 and Far航工業(yè) Group, stated that low-aircraft transportation technology is already at a mature stage. Both companies are state-owned enterprises dedicated to achieving full-scale operational integration in the low-aircraft transportation sector. In the field of intelligent urban air mobility, they are pioneers in developing and launching city-airport urban air mobility systems (UAM) and have developed the " smart flying aircraft" intelligent travel platform.

Flights

Currently, flyacopter has established an intercity low-aircraft network in the Suzhou region, centered around蘇州. Flights are available to無錫機(jī)場, Nanjing Municipal Center, Changzhou, and other locations, totaling 21 intercity low-aircraft fast lines. Meanwhile, in the Pearl River Delta region, flyacopter has set up an intercity low-aircraft network centered around Guangzhou, offering flights to Guangzhou Municipal Center, Hong Kong,澳門, and other destinations, enabling efficient regional interconnections.

Mr.呂勇 noted that the浦東新區(qū) is exploring the construction of a hub-type low-aircraft vertical landing field. The goal is to develop a comprehensive intercity low-aircraft network covering浦東 and surrounding areas, including蘇州,南通,無錫, and other cities. He mentioned that ordinary citizens can now take small包機(jī), reducing ground travel time of 2 hours to approximately 25 minutes. Once the network reaches a certain scale, initial estimates suggest that single-trip fares can be kept within 800 yuan per person.

Mr.余穎, vice secretary of浦東新區(qū), stated that浦東新區(qū) has always been at the forefront of national initiatives to drive socialist modernization and innovation. The development of low-aircraft transportation in浦東 represents a bold exploration of low-aircraft development and a significant practice in advancing low-aircraft economic activities.浦東新區(qū) will accelerate the implementation of the central and Shanghai decisions on low-aircraft policies, ensuring that low-aircraft operations are stable, well-managed, and user-friendly. This will contribute the "Pudong Plan" and the "Pudong Force" to the development of low-aircraft transportation.

Mr.李樹遜, director of the浦東新區(qū) commission for building and urban management, stated that in the coming years, low-aircraft transportation networks will be built to create "low-aircraft corridors" between intercity areas and major business districts, main transportation hubs, and industrial and technological parks. This integration of low-aircraft development with urban planning aims to achieve synergies between low-aircraft and urban development.
